Baahubali 2 box-office collection Day 2: Rajamouli's film heading towards Rs 400 crore

Baahubali 2 is creating history with its box-office collection. The Beginning, which released in 2015, became one of the highest grossing Indian films and raked in Rs 650 crore worldwide. It looks like the first part is a miniscule compared to The Conclusion, in terms of scale and box-office figures. On Friday, the Prabhas-starrer witnessed 90 per cent occupancy in theatres. According to Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, the film netted Rs 121 crore on its opening day in India. Baahubali: The Conclusion, which received rave reception from critics and audience, crossed the Rs 200 crore mark on Saturday. However, as per trade pundits, Baahubali 2 has more than Rs 300 crore in 2 days and is marching towards Rs 400 crore. Starting today, the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) intends to carry out flash inspections in theatres across India to check on the content accompanying Baahubali 2. Ad hawks! It is the ads that have tagged along with the film, which need to be carefully monitored and censored before they can be screened, that need to be checked. We’ve never in the history of the CBFC’s existence received so many ads for screening with a feature film.
